It's the summer of second chances.
Are Angelina Jolie and Jonny Lee Miller the Next A-List Exes To Get Back Together?
While the world has been distracted by the rekindled spectacle of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie and her ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller have also hung out…twice. The pair met on the set of 1995's Hackers and got married in 1996—they split up a year later in 1997, and finalized their divorce in 1999. In the decades since, they've both gotten hitched and had kids with other partners before becoming single again. Uh, sounds familiar!
On June 11, the Lara Croft star was spotted entering Miller's Brooklyn apartment building carrying an expensive bottle of wine, as seen in pictures published by Page Six. Then on June 15, Jolie was spotted entering the building again, this time bringing something much more precious than a bottle of wine: her son Pax. Mother and son spent about an hour inside, per The Daily Mail.
Not to push the comparison too far, but just like Ben and Jen, Angie and Jonny have said really nice things about each other in the press since their split. Not even so much “nice” as “seems like they wish they could have stayed married.”
“He deserves more than I am prepared to give at this time in my life, but there is a very good possibility that we could get married again some time in the future,” Jolie told a reporter at the time of the split, according to The Daily Mail. In a different interview, the Mail reports, Miller said, "there are no regrets and no bitterness."
In addition to 17-year-old Pax, Angelina Jolie shares her five other children with Brad Pitt; the two are currently in a legal battle over their custody agreement. Miller has one son with ex-wife Michelle Hicks. But in a way, we are all the children of turn-of-the-millennium Hollywood couples. We were raised by them and we will always love them. Together or apart. But ideally together.
