There's a special meaning behind it.
Ariana Grande Wore One of Her Earrings Upside Down at Her Wedding
Ariana Grande's big day included a subtle nod to the harder times in her life. The pop star recently married real estate agent Dalton Gomez in an intimate at-home ceremony, and just posted pictures from the event online. The wedding was chic, sleek, and so pretty. And her look was one hundred percent Ari.
The bride wore pearl and diamond earrings by Lorraine Schwartz, which matched her engagement ring. Not only that, but one of the earrings was upside-down, reports Vogue. It's an aesthetic nod to her Sweetener era, when the singer would often type or post pictures upside down, which “represents appreciating the lowest…moments in her life and how they have contributed to where and who she is now,” the outlet reports.
In the same feature, we also learned that Grande's dress came from Vera Wang Haute; when Wang dressed Grande for the Met Gala, the designer promised the star that she would one day design her a wedding gown. She finished the look with Giuseppe Zanotti platform heels. Dalton wore a suit by Tom Ford.
Wang and Grande continued their love fest on Instagram Stories, writing each other sweet notes about the romantic day.
Grande was walked down by aisle by both her mother Joan Grande and her father Ed Butera.
We already knew that Gomez helped design Grande's wedding band, a “beautiful, tasteful platinum and diamond pavé band” that fit in with the modern and clean look she wanted for both her engagement ring and the wedding. A source revealed that the wedding “was beautiful but not over the top…. Ari wanted it to be simplistic and tasteful. All they cared about was having family there and to be able to enjoy the special moment together.” We can only imagine the even sweeter-er album Grande is going to make now that she's a happily married woman.
