David Spade will be one of the hosts.
‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Season 7: Everything We Know
The Bachelor franchise’s fun beachside iteration Bachelor in Paradise isn’t going anywhere, despite a recent controversy that culminated in Chris Harrison leaving his job. And while fans eagerly wait for their favorite messy summer show to return, here’s everything we know about what to expect.
Where is it being filmed? The show went into production in Mexico the first week of June, per Variety.
Who is hosting?Harrison only officially left his role in June but has been on leave for some time after mishandling a controversial racial incident from a contestant’s past. He reflected on his time with the franchise on Instagram, writing, “I’ve had a truly incredible run as host of The Bachelor franchise and now I’m excited to start a new chapter. I’m so grateful to Bachelor Nation for all of the memories we’ve made together. While my two-decade journey is wrapping up, the friendships I’ve made will last a lifetime.”
Now BiP will have a rotating series of guest hosts, led by Bachelor super-fan David Spade. Seriously, if you go over to his Instagram, he has a ton of saved Highlights of himself providing commentary on the show. Other hosts will include *NSYNC’s Lance Bass, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’s Tituss Burgess, and “Turn Down for What” rapper Lil Jon. This sounds like literally the most fun party of all time. (Fun facts: Lil Jon appeared on season 14 during one of Becca Kufrin’s one-on-one dates.)
Who are the contestants? We don’t know yet, but we do know a few familiar faces will be there: Wells Adams—a former Bachelorette contestant who became a fan-favorite and, eventually, the Bachelor in Paradise bartender—and his fiancée, Modern Family actor Sarah Hyland, will appear in some capacity during the season. Maybe as joint bartenders? How iconic.
