Bridgerton Fans Are Finding 'Game of Thrones Starbucks Cup' Errors on the Show

These modern-era blunders are too funny.

Remember when Game of Thrones fans spotted a rogue Starbucks cup in one of the episodes? Well, according to CNN, the same thing is happening with Bridgerton. Kinda!

No, fans haven't found a literal Starbucks cup on the hit Netflix series but they are calling out a few apparent modern production blunders. By this, I mean the show's crew seemingly left behind some contemporary details in scenes that straight-up wouldn't exist in Bridgerton's time period (Regency-era London).

This fan pointed out that you can see a poster for Primark, the fashion retailer, reflected in a window in one scene:

There are also, according to some fan tweets, yellow “no parking” lines on the street:

Per CNN, fans are spotting other things, too, like manhole covers—and Capital FM reports one fan saw a parking sign on a lamppost.

Here's the thing, though: Bridgerton is a world where orchestras play Ariana Grande's “Thank U, Next” and Taylor Swift's “Wildest Dreams.” I don't think historical accuracy is a priority. The show is fantasy more than anything—and why can't that fantasy include some Primark posters and painted parking lines! It all just adds to Bridgerton's time-bending charm.

I'm very excited to see what 2020s pop songs make it into season two of this 1800s show. Netflix officially announced Bridgerton season two on January 21 with a letter from Lady Whistledown. “Dearest Readers, The ton are abuzz with the latest gossip, and so it is my honor to impart to you: Bridgerton shall officially return for a second season,” it reads. “I do hope you have stored a bottle of ratafia for this most delightful occasion.”

The second season will start shooting in spring 2021 and will focus on Anthony Bridgerton's love life. For more details, click here. And while we wait for new episodes, check out these shows that have major Bridgerton vibes.
