Chrissy Metz Wore a $145 Draper James x Eloquii Dress—and You Can Still Shop It
What do you get when Chrissy Metz's style meets Reese Witherspoon's design skills? A bold summer look you'll want to copy ASAP.
The This Is Us star arrived to tape an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert wearing a bright blue floral dress from Witherspoon's Draper James collection for Eloquii, which launched in March. (This was Draper James' first foray into plus sizes, and extended the brand's sizing up to a 28.) Metz accessorized it with Stuart Weitzman shoes.
Metz's style of choice, the Balloon Sleeve Shift Dress, is still available on Eloquii's website. It retails for $145.
The actress truly committed to the look by making her makeup match the bold colors of the garment: She wore a streak of blue eyeliner on her waterline, XL lashes, and a high-shine pink lip. She gave us a closer look on Instagram. "Blue in the best way," she wrote in a caption. "Love this little number from @draperjames and @eloquii."
Witherspoon launched her plus-size line with the mission of providing fun, stylish clothes for women of all sizes, and tapped Eloquii for its expertise in expanded sizing. She told Glamour back in March that she wanted to bring her brand's signature cheery prints into the plus-size space, to break up the all-black-everything offerings that often dominate this part of the market: "Now there’s so much messaging in the world saying the opposite: Be proud of who you are. Unsubscribe from the notion that you’re not good enough. I want you to put on a dress, zip it up, and go, 'I know I look good, I know it fits—and I know I look pretty.' You can be strong, you can be a feminist, you can be an incredibly hardworking woman—and still like pretty!"
Metz has worn Eloquii many times before—most memorably, to the 2017 People's Choice Awards, 2018 Critics Choice Awards, and 2018 SAG Awards.
