Demi Lovato Rocks Baby Bangs After Cutting Hair Even Shorter
Demi Lovato said goodbye to her pink pixie and hello to baby bangs and an even shorter cut.
Lovato first chopped her long hair back in November and has been jumping from color to color ever since. First, she went blonde, then pink, and now she has returned to her dark brunette roots with a Rosemary's Baby styled look.
The pop star and her stylist, Amber Maynard Bolt, both shared a video of Lovato's “new hair” on Instagram on February 27. “I had the pleasure of executing this new look on this ever-changing ICON,” Bolt wrote in her caption. “Demi is proof that transformation can be done on and through so many levels.”
Bolt shared how she pulled off the transformation, from the color to the iconic chop. She started by shaping Lovato's look while spraying K18 Hair's Molecular Repair Mist. Once she finished the cut and color, Bolt finished off the look using K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Mask. “This leaves the hair soft and works in minutes,” she wrote. "No need to rinse either!”
Bolt is also responsible for Lovato's bubblegum pink transformation back in January.
Demi Lovato opened up about the freedom of wearing her hair short during a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“I feel so free. I feel more authentic to who I am. I also feel like I used to hide behind my hair,” she said on February 22, per Teen Vogue. “I’ve talked a lot about my past and being in recovery from an eating disorder. I used to use my hair to hide behind. It would cover my body. So when I started doing all this work on myself, I thought, ‘What is something that I’ve been holding onto my whole life that I need to let go of?’ And it was that. I feel more myself now.”
