Emma Roberts Shares First Glimpse of Her Adorable Baby Boy's Face
Emma Roberts's baby boy is already taking after his mom. The actor gave fans a small glimpse of her son Rhodes's face in an Instagram post she shared on January 25. In the photo, Rhodes is “reading” Joan Didion's autobiography, Let Me Tell You What I Mean, which is especially fitting because Roberts is such a bookworm. She even tagged Belletrist, her book club, in the post!
“Rhodes meet Joan 💫 @belletrist,” she captioned the sweet pic. The post has already racked up more than a million likes and thousands of comments. Ashley Tisdale wrote, “Heart melting,” while Stassi Schroeder commented, “This is so sweet.” Singers Aly and AJ Michalka added, “Good reading education! Starting him young.”
It's no surprise Emma Roberts would introduce her son to books at a young age. She frequently shares the titles she's reading on Instagram and speaks about her love of reading and how she applies it to acting. “I always pick out a bookshelf for every character I play,” she told ELLE.com in an interview. “I get around three or five books to have with me while I'm playing a character because you have so much downtime on set. I pick books based on what the mood is so that I can stay in that.”
When it comes to being a mother, she seems to have slipped into that role effortlessly. Roberts reportedly welcomed her first child with boyfriend Garrett Hedlund in late December 2020. She later posted a photo of Rhodes to Instagram in January—and also revealed his full name. “Thank you 2020 for getting one thing right ☀️,” she wrote in the pic, which shows her holding Rhodes. “Our bright light Rhodes Robert Hedlund 🧡”
