How to Watch the ‘Gossip Girl’ Reboot (and the Original, Of Course)

You know you love it.

Attention, Upper East Siders: Gossip Girl is officially back. This time, instead of the juicy lives of Serena, Blair, Chuck, Nate, and Dan the “Lonely Boy,” we'll be checking in on the drama of a whole new batch of Manhattan's elite in the 2021 reboot.

So how can you watch the new Gossip Girl? Well, that part's easy: Purchase a subscription to HBO Max for $15 a month for ad-free streaming or $10 a month if you're willing to watch commercials. Or, if you are a Hulu subscriber, you can get a free week trial of HBO Max and then bundle the accounts for $15 a month. Similarly, the service is available to those who already subscribe to HBO.

The first episode of Gossip Girl drops on HBO Max on Thursday, July 8. There will be 10 episodes in season one. And if you're a G.G. purist, you can stream all six seasons on HBO Max whenever the hell you want

So what else do you need to know?

We already told you the show won't focus on the O.G. cast. (It's still TBD whether or not they'll make guest appearances.) “We’ve reached out to all of them to let them know it was happening, and we’d love for them to be involved if they want to be involved, but certainly didn’t want to make it contingent upon [them being involved],” executive producer and original G.G. cocreator Joshua Schwartz said at the 2020 Television Critics Association summer press tour, according to Entertainment Tonight. “They played these characters for six years, and if they felt like they were good with that, we want to respect that, but obviously...it would be great to see them again.”

However, Kristen Bell is returning to voice G.G. herself. For more details on what to expect, click here. Is it July 8 yet?
