It Looks Like Gigi Hadid's Hair Is Bright Red Now

New hue?

Is Gigi Hadid getting her fall look ready early or what? The mom and model posted a selfie June 27 to Instagram in which she's rocking a jacket, beanie, and fiery red hair. The hair looks amazing, but the wintry outfit suggests this may be an old picture. Who's to say for sure, though?

Captioned “city limit ⚓️," the snap shows Hadid seemingly in downtown New York City during golden hour. Maybe the sunset glow is what's giving her hair that extra kiss of red; the last time we checked (March 5), her locks were more ginger than spice.

Fans and friends in the comments section are absolutely loving the color; Queer Eye's Jonathan Van Ness wrote, “Prettyyyyyyyy😍😍😍😍😍,” and up-and-coming model Natalie Bryant added, “love it!!!😍🔥”

Since opting to go red, Hadid's been playing up the look–in spring, she accessorized it with a bright orange coat. And at her birthday, her hair was front and center with a funky 'do.

In a recent interview with i-D, Gigi Hadid revealed she's been thinking critically about her skin color—both the privileges it affords her, how it fits in with her Palestinian heritage, and how she and Zayn Malik are raising their daughter Khai. “In certain situations, I feel—or I’m made to feel—that I’m too white to stand up for part of my Arab heritage. You go through life trying to figure out where you fit in racially,” she said in an interview. “Is what I am, or what I have, enough to do what I feel is right? But then, also, is that taking advantage of the privilege of having the whiteness within me, right? Am I allowed to speak for this side of me, or is that speaking on something that I don’t experience enough to know?”

“I think that Khai will grow up feeling out the way that she can or wants to be a bridge for her different ethnicities,” Hadid continued, adding, “But I think that it will be nice to be able to have those conversations, and see where she comes from [with] it, without us putting that onto her. What comes from her is what I’m most excited about, and being able to add to that or answer her questions.”
