Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Just Kissed on the Red Carpet for the First Time in 18 Years

Bennifer is official official.

I’m just gonna cut to the chase: Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck made their red-carpet debut as Bennifer 2.0 at the Venice Film Festival on Friday, September 10. They kissed. There are pics. Here they are:

Yup: Things are officially official now.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are in Venice for the premiere of Affleck’s movie, The Last Duel, and can I just say: After almost 20 years, they still know how to stun on a red carpet. Lopez looked gorgeous in a white gown, while Affleck kept things classic in a simple bow-tie tuxedo. They’re so beautiful, it hurts to look at them.

This marks the first public appearance the two have made as a rekindled couple. You know the story by now: In spring 2021 rumors began circulating Affleck and Lopez were in each other’s lives again. Cut to a summer of paparazzi-caught hangouts and PDA, and the chatter was all but confirmed. Now we have concrete proof: Bennifer 2.0 is real. Red-carpet real.

Granted, they still haven’t said much about their renewed relationship. Right before they were linked, though, Ben Affleck said the kindest things about Jennifer Lopez to InStyle.

“I thought I had a good work ethic, but I was completely humbled and blown away by what she was committed to doing day in and day out, the seriousness in which she took her work, the quiet and dedicated way she went about accomplishing her goals, and then how she would go back and redouble her efforts,” he said. “She remains, to this day, the hardest-working person I’ve come across in this business. She has great talent, but she has also worked very hard for her success, and I’m so happy for her that she seems, at long last, to be getting the credit she deserves.”
