She says she's stopped shaving her legs since becoming a mom.
Katy Perry Showed Off Her Leg Hair on 'American Idol'
New moms gotta prioritize—and Katy Perry, who recently welcomed daughter Daisy Dove with fiancé Orlando Bloom, has decided leg shaving just isn't part of her grooming routine for the time being. Hey, fair enough! Women don't need a justification for shaving, or not shaving, but if someone's looking for a reason to skip it, taking care of a baby is pretty much the best one.
On Sunday's (April 4th) episode of American Idol, on which Perry is a judge, the “Teenage Dream” singer told contestant Cassandra Coleman, "Your voice is a spiritual experience. It is other worldly, angelic. As a new mother I don't have very much time, so I've quit shaving my legs. But when you sang, the hair on my legs grew an inch an a half. Full body chills! It was amazing."
We're assuming she meant the hairs on her body pricked up at the sound of Coleman's singing—extending an inch and a half—like when you get goosebumps, and not that Coleman's voice actually made her leg hair spontaneously generate. But that would be…impressive, at least.
To prove her point, Perry then lifted her legs onto the judges' table, and fellow judge Luke Bryan confirmed, "She literally has leg hair." Well, that settles that! Katy Perry has leg hair. Everyone make a note for your files.
American Idol shared the photo to its Twitter account, adopting a popular meme format. “Me: I'm going to be productive today," reads one line, followed by "Also me:" and a photo of Perry's legs. Honestly, it's a mood.

We're glad Katy Perry is making her beauty routine work for her schedule, and not the other way around. You can shave your legs any day, but babies are only babies once. Make time for what matters to you, people, and forget what doesn't!
