"I want the kids to be happy. That’s the goal.”
Kris Jenner Just Broke Her Silence on Kim and Kanye's Divorce
Kris Jenner just broke her silence on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's divorce.
“I think it’s always going to be hard anytime, you know, there’s a lot of kids,” Jenner said on The Kyle & Jackie O Show on March 18, according to Us Weekly. “The good thing about our family is that we are there for each other and supportive and we love each other very, very much, so all I want is for those two kids to be happy. And I want the kids to be happy. That’s the goal.”
Jenner added that she wants to “be able to have the love and appreciation of one another, and that everyone’s OK. That’s what you want as a mom.”
Caitlyn Jenner also broke her silence on the situation, though she kept mum for the most part.
“I love Kimberly," she told Access Hollywood. "Honestly, I love Kanye. I have had a very good relationship with Kanye. I wish them both nothing but the best. But, as far as speaking about that, that is their story to tell, not mine. And I think you might learn some things in the final episode, I wouldn’t be surprised–although I haven’t seen the show, but I do remember shooting scenes. And yeah, I think it should be pretty interesting.”
Kris Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner are the first family members to speak out about the Kimye divorce. News of a potential split between the power couple roke in January 2021. “They are keeping it low-key but they are done,” a source told Page Six. “Kim has hired [divorce lawyer] Laura Wasser and they are in settlement talks.”
A source who spoke to E! echoed Kris's sentiment: The kids are the priority right now. "[Kim] wants to make sure she's making the right decision for the kids. It's not about the marriage anymore…. Kim is only focused on what's best for the kids. It's a tough decision for her and she's figuring it out.”
