Lady Gaga and Barack Obama Had the Longest Chat at the Inauguration

What were they talking about?!

Lady Gaga stunned at the 2021 inauguration, performing the national anthem and wearing an outfit that served major Hunger Games vibes. She also, at one point, had an awfully long conversation with Barack Obama, and fans now want answers.

“I wanna know what Lady Gaga and Barack Obama talked about for so long,” one person tweeted. Another asked, “What in the world is Lady Gaga saying to President Obama that’s taking so long?” Even Andy Cohen couldn't help but notice, “Gaga has A LOT to say to Obama!!!”

She hugged Michelle Obama too (with masks on), and they had a lovely chat:

So what happened? Why did Lady Gaga and Barack Obama have such a long conversation at the inauguration? Obviously, they had to be talking about one of these 21 topics:

  1. Obama gave Gaga his Chromatica ranking. He’s an “1,000 Doves” stan. I feel it in my bones.
  2. Obama asked where the Haus Labs Remix of “Babylon” is.
  3. Obama wondered why “Brooklyn Nights” wasn’t included on ARTPOP.
  4. Gaga asked Obama why no Chromatica tracks were included in his favorite songs of 2020 list.
  5. Gaga just said, “Call me Stefani, please,” then they stood in silence for a minute straight.
  6. Obama showed Gaga the Chromatica Oreos he had stashed in his pocket as an inauguration snack.
  7. He then asked why he could only order the Oreos in packs of three on walmart.com.
  8. Then she explained why Oreos were the best way to promote Chromatica.
  9. Really, they just said “Chromatica Oreos” 50 times in a row, then hugged goodbye.
  10. She offered Malia a Chromatica cabinet position.
  11. He cracked a joke about the meat dress. She politely laughed.
  12. He said, “Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah!” She politely laughed.
  13. He screamed,  “Paws up, baby!” She politely laughed.
  14. Obama asked earnestly, “So…when’s that ‘Sour Candy’ music video coming out?”
  15. She told Obama, “You know, I’m an Italian girl from New York.” He acted surprised.
  16. They reenacted Scene 98 from A Star Is Born.
  17. Gaga explained how she views America: “See, we’re all what I like to call ‘Kindness Punks.’”
  18. He said, “We did it, Joe.” She said, “We did it, kids.”
  19. She said Biden’s presidency “is for God and the gays,” then pumped her fist enthusiastically.
  20. She said, “You know, on Chromatica, everyone's a Democrat.”
  21. He started singing “Shallow.” She didn’t join in.
