Lady Gaga’s French Bulldogs Have Been Stolen
Lady Gaga's dog walker was shot on Wednesday night, February 24, in Hollywood, CNN reports. The shooter also stole the singer's two French bulldogs, Koji and Gustavo. Gaga's dog walker is “recovering well,” per CNN.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department revealed the robbery occurred at 9:40 p.m. P.T. Wednesday night on Sierra Bonita Avenue in Hollywood, People reports. The male suspect, who is believed to have taken the dogs, reportedly used a semiautomatic handgun and fled the scene in a car.
“Our whole family is upset and praying Koji and Gustavo are not harmed,” Gaga's father, Joe Germanotta, told Fox News. “Help us catch these creeps.” Gaga is offering a $500,000 reward to anyone with information about the dogs. You can email [email protected] with any leads.
Lady Gaga is currently in Italy starting production on the movie Gucci, in which she plays Patrizia Reggiani. (She'll be starring alongside Al Pacino, Jared Leto, and Adam Driver; the movie already has major buzz.) She has been a dog mama to Koji and Gustav for years. She also has another dog named Miss Asia that was not taken. Her love for her pets is evident by looking at her social media. Gaga even has an Instagram page for Miss Asia.
In 2015, Miss Asia became part of Gaga's Coach campaign. “I am so proud of Miss Asia!” she said in a statement. “She’s a natural in front of the camera. I really love getting to watch my best friend be a star.” A year before, she appeared with Gaga on the cover of Harper's Bazaar September issue.
Lady Gaga's pups are a major part of her family. We hope that Koji and Gustav are found and brought back home safely.
We'll update this post with any more information as it comes in.
