And Katy Perry helps her deal with him.
Miranda Kerr Said Orlando Bloom Is Like Her ‘Annoying Brother’ Now
Miranda Kerr opened up in a recent interview about the dynamic among her ex Orlando Bloom, his current fiancée, Katy Perry, and herself—and it sounds like a sitcom. No, really: These three are demonstrating firsthand what it's like to have a harmonious blended family.
“We go on holidays together,” Kerr revealed on the Moments With Candace Parker podcast, according to People. “We celebrate all the important milestones together. I love [Perry]. I mean, it'd be safe to say that I love her more than Flynn's dad.” (Kerr and Bloom share a son together named Flynn Christopher. Meanwhile, Bloom and Perry welcomed their first daughter, Daisy Dove, in August 2020. Kerr also has two children with her current husband, Evan Spiegel.)
Kerr said that Bloom is like “a brother” to her now. “And most of the time, an annoying brother,” she continued. The supermodel says Perry “helps me deal with him.”
“I'm so grateful that she's there because it takes the pressure off me,” Kerr added.
Kerr also talked about the first time she met Perry. “When Orlando started dating Katy, I remember he invited me over one time and she was there, and we just immediately got along,” she said. “I saw how she was with Flynn. She was very playful with Flynn. She was not trying to be his mum. She was just being friendly and fun, and that's all you can ask for.”
She continued, “We hung out by the pool at his house in Malibu and then there was like a little party up the road, and we all went to it together and it was like, ‘Oh, this is great!’”
It is great. Good to see Miranda Kerr, Katy Perry, and Orlando Bloom have found an arrangement that works for them. Now the only thing I'm wondering is what Kerr's favorite Katy Perry song is.
