President Joe Biden Is Here to Remind You He’s Also the Cutest Grandpa

My heart!

President Joe Biden is the leader of the free world, but he’s also a grandpa. While watching the Celebrating America special after his and Vice President Kamala Harris’s inauguration, photographers snapped a sweet pic of Biden holding his grandson Beau Biden. Jill Biden, our new first lady, stood alongside their granddaughters, Maisy, Natalie, Naomi, and Finnegan. Beau’s dad, Hunter Biden, was also in attendance.

Hunter named his son after his late brother, Beau, who died in 2015 at the age of 46 after battling cancer. Although Beau Sr. couldn’t physically be at his father’s inauguration, there is a powerful honor to him that’s going viral. While President Biden was being sworn in, journalist Patricia Talorico was driving by Beau’s grave at the St. Joseph Catholic church in Greenville, Delaware. She spotted a lone uniformed man kneeling at Beau’s grave and snapped some photos of the powerful image. People has more information.

“I couldn’t bring myself to interrupt this poignant, solemn moment,” Talorico wrote in the Deleware News Journal. “I took some photos from a distance and pulled my car over to a nearby roadway. I listened to the end of Biden’s speech and drove back to see if the person was still there. The person was.”

She continued, “The journalist in me wanted to go back and find out his identity and ask why he was there. The person who once received a kind gesture from Beau when I needed it most knew it was a time to be respectful, and I drove away. Some things in life you just let be.”

“Beau is with me every single day,” President Joe Biden tweeted after the 2020 Democratic National Convention aired a tribute to honor Beau. “If he was here tonight, he would remind me, ‘Just be who you are.’ I’m a better person because of him.”
