Prince Albert Calls Out Meghan and Harry for Oprah Interview: ‘It Did Bother Me'

👀👀👀

Prince Albert of Monaco was asked Thursday, March 25, for his thoughts on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey—and he didn't hold back.

“It's very difficult to be in someone's place,” he said. “I can understand the pressures that they were under, but I think this type of public display of dissatisfaction, to say the least, these type of conversations should be held within the intimate quarters of the family. It doesn't really have to be laid out in the public sphere like that.”

He continued, “It did bother me a little bit. I can understand where they're coming from in a certain way, but I think it wasn't the appropriate forum to be able to have these kind of discussions.”

When asked if he had any advice for Prince Harry, Prince Albert said, “I wish him the best, but it's a difficult world out there, and I hope that he can have the judgment and wisdom to make the right choices.”

Watch Prince Albert say all this for yourself in the video, below:

Prince Albert wasn't wrong about one thing: Calling Markle and Prince Harry's Winfrey interview a "public display of dissatisfaction" is an understatement. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were quite candid throughout the two-hour chat about their issues with the British press, fame, and the royal family.

When Winfrey asked Markle, “How do you feel about the palace hearing you speak your truth today?” the duchess replied, “I don’t know how they could expect that after all of this time, we would still just be silent if there is an active role that The Firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us.”

She then added, “And if that comes with risk of losing things, there’s a lot that’s been lost already.”
