Ready to sample some plant-based dishes? (Of course.) (Take advantage of the discounted weekday ticket or the multiple visit offer happening this month to bag a food voucher.)

For the most important question: what to eat at the Expo vegan food festival? There are a number of great-looking plant-based options. Here are some of the highlights:
1. The smoke house burger at Chuck ChickVegan meets ’50s Americana with this whopper of a 100 percent plant-based burger featuring a deep-fried onion ring, cheddar “cheese”, maple “bacon”, lettuce, tomato, red onion, hickory barbecue sauce and garlic mayo.
2. Jungle avocado roll at Evergreen OrganicsThis is one of those too pretty you almost don’t want to eat it vegan dishes, but then you’d be missing out on the refreshing combination of mango, kale, cucumber, quinoa, cashew cheese and beetroot from Qatar’s first 100 percent vegan café.
3. Marg at Vegan Dough Co.This is a chunky vegan version of the classic Margherita pizza from the London-based pizza makers. Thick slices of tomato are topped with cultured cashew mozz, baby spinach and pesto.
4. Kale Caesar at Erpingham HouseThis definitely isn’t the average Caesar salad from the British vegan and vegetarian resto. First of all, just look at the beauty. Secondly, the plant-based, modern riff on the traditional salad has almond parmesan, apple matchsticks, tomatoes and radish shavings. It’s finished with crunchy croutons and Caesar dressing.
5. Crispy maki at Holy CarrotHealthy, plant-based and oh-so-Instagrammable: The maki rolls at Holy Carrot feature tricolour organic quinoa, heritage vegetables, crispy tempura and a drizzle of spicy mayo. Enjoy the London-based restaurant’s Expo pop-up while it’s here: the permanent location serves up plant-based dishes crafted from ethically sourced ingredients.
6. Mylk Rocher at MylkIt’s not milk, it’s Mylk. The Abu Dhabi plant-based boutique bakery is at Expo and dishing out its popular Mylk Rocher featuring the unbeatable combo of chocolate and hazelnut. You will likely want a handful of them.
