After almost two years, the show returns in September.
‘The Morning Show’ Season 2 Trailer Is Here, Finally
After what feels like exactly one thousand years, Jennifer Aniston and The Morning Show will make their triumphant return to your small screen in season two of the Apple TV+ drama on September 17.
Apple TV just released the trailer for season two of the Emmy-winning drama, about a television show that—you guessed it—airs in the morning and stars almost everyone in Hollywood including Aniston, Billy Crudup, Reese Witherspoon, Mark Duplass, Steve Carell, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley, Desean Terry, Janina Gavankar, Tom Irwin, and Marcia Gay Harden.
With so much star power behind it, it's not surprising that the show features some big stats. Aniston and Witherspoon are paid a reported $2 million per episode. In 2020, Aniston won the SAG award for outstanding performance by an actress in a drama series for her role as news anchor Alex Levy. The performance also earned Aniston an Emmy nomination.
The second season picks up in the aftermath following the explosive events of the first season, which debuted on Apple TV+ in November 2019. Notable additions to the cast include comedian Hasan Minaj, Julianna Margulies, Holland Taylor, and Will Arnett in large glasses. The trailer promises more drama, more walking and talking, more shiny haircuts, and more of Emmy winner Crudup doing the most in conference rooms. The trailer also indicates that the season takes place in early 2020, implying that we’ll see the coronavirus pandemic unfold at some point in the season.
