Did you know one in five girls in the U.S. has missed school due to a lack of period products?
This New Period Tracking App Helps Women and Girls Around the Country
If you're interested in tracking your menstrual cycle, you may want to download Always You—a new period tracking app started by Procter & Gamble’s Always brand and Thrive Global, Arianna Huffington's behavior change tech company. It's a simple app that tracks your period but also has exclusive wellness content—including Thrive Microsteps, which, per a press release, are “small, science-backed actions you can start taking immediately to build habits that significantly improve your life." In the app, you'll also find a host of science-backed articles, videos, and activities curated to help manage your intimate wellness and holistic health.
And as a bonus: Downloading this app will help end period poverty. According to Always's 2019 study, one in five girls in the U.S. have missed school due to lack of period products. To combat this, Always You has partnered with the nonprofit organization Feeding America—and the more you use the app, the more period products will become available to those who need them. Per the press release, “For every new Always You registration and for every 100 donation points earned between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022, Always will donate one period product to Feeding America, up to a maximum donation of 1,000,000 pads.”
There are so many ways to earn donation points. Per a press release, users who download the app can “earn 20 points for every period or bladder leak event tracked with a maximum of 200 donation points for period events per month.” They also can get 10 donation points per day by completing those aforementioned Thrive Microsteps. And for every piece of content you consume on the app, you'll earn five donation points. Improving your wellness and helping women and girls in need? Seems like a win-win.
You can download the Always You mobile app now at Apple or Google Play. And to learn more, click here.
