The “Suits” star delivered their daughter himself.
Troian Bellisario and Patrick J. Adams’s Daughter Was Born in the Hospital Parking Garage
Troian Bellisario and husband Patrick J. Adams's daughter made quite the entrance into the world: Elliot Rowena Adams was born in the hospital parking garage.
In their Instagram announcement posts, Bellisario and Adams had hinted that their daughter's birth was…unexpected. The Pretty Little Liars star wrote, “Ms. Elliot Rowena Adams joined us on May 15th under the wildest of circumstances. A whole new ERA for this family. Welcome, my love.” Meanwhile, the Suits alum captioned his post, “+1…..Welcome to the funhouse, Ms. Elliot Rowena Adams. May your life be as unique and exciting as your arrival.”
But the couple didn't publicly share how “unique and exciting” their daughter's arrival was until a recent appearance on an episode of Scandal star Katie Lowes's podcast, Katie's Crib. They explained that Elliot was born in a hospital parking garage. Apparently, by the time Adams was finished grabbing his parking ticket, Bellisario was already “on her hands and knees” and screaming in the backseat.
“She is still on all fours, butt facing the windshield,” Adams explained. “Her butt’s at my head level, so I just go and pull down her pants, and [the baby’s] head is right there.” Bellisario added, “She was crowning.”
The stressful situation didn't leave “room for panic,” Adams said. Instead, he delivered their daughter himself, adding, “[It] all took place in the span of about three minutes.” After “one more push” on his wife's part, Elliot was born.
“As soon as I turn her upside down, she starts crying and screaming,” Adams said, while Troian Bellisario added, “I just look over my shoulder, because I’m still on all fours…and I see Patrick holding her upside down, and she’s wailing, so I was like, ‘She’s alive. She’s okay. She’s breathing.’”
Now, that's impressive. The couple also have a two-year-old daughter, Aurora, whom they welcomed in 2018.
