You Need to See the Dress Amy Schumer Wore to Get Her COVID-19 Vaccine

The comedian also kept everyone at her vaccination site entertained.

It's called fashion, honey, look it up. I'm talking, of course, about Amy Schumer, who wore a full gown to receive her COVID-19 vaccination shot in late March. The hilarious actor and comedian helpfully cut a shoulder hole in the garment and documented the journey on Instagram.

In a video montage she posted late on Sunday, March 28, the Trainwreck star is driven by her husband, Chris Fischer, through the rainy streets of New York to a vaccination site. As they listen to music, Schumer tells the camera, "This is my, ‘Going to get the vaccine’ energy.” She doesn't specify whether this is her first or second dose, but it's presumably her first, as she later expresses surprise at how quickly the injection is over, asking the healthcare worker who jabbed her, “That's it?”

At the vaccination site, Schumer is wearing a sparkly gold dress with leggings underneath and comfortable shoes. It's a relatable ensemble: Ever since Zoom took over our offices, we've all been rocking some variation of fancy in the front, comfy underneath. Schumer took it a step further and cut a square of fabric out of one of the sleeves for easy shoulder access, though she joked she would have been happy to get jabbed, um, anywhere.

“Shoot it in my pussy!” she quipped while entertaining the small crowd waiting to be released after getting their shots. The comedian apologized to anyone who had planned to use that time to meditate and thanked them for listening. “I love New York and I love all of you," she said.

In the caption of her post, Amy Schumer shared that talent manager Guy Oseary would donate $5 to Pencils4Kids.org for everyone who used the hashtag #downtogown to show themselves dressed up for their vaccination. Schumer called getting glam a “nice way to show respect to the people working there who understand the enormity of what it is they are doing.”

She also shared a selfie with a fan who thanked her for brightening up the room.

BRB, planning our vaccination 'fits.
